In 1848 "La Colombe" by Pablo Picasso, of which this background
is made, was chosen for the poster of the Peace Congress.
This picture soon became known as the Dove of Peace.
Picasso even named his daughter Paloma {Spanish for dove}
after the Dove of Peace.
He has made several different pictures of doves
of which these are my favourites.
